Radio readiness

Monthly Radio Check-In

First Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM

A quick monthly check-in to confirm that member radios are working properly. Check in on these frequencies in order:

  1. CERT 3446.860 MHzOffset -5.0 MHzPL 103.5 Hz
  2. CERT 4446.600 MHzOffset -5.0 MHzPL 100 Hz
  3. K6OEM147.975 MHzOffset -600 kHzPL 146.2 Hz

    This frequency is already set up for the City of Menifee Office of Emergency Management and may become the primary fixed repeater.

  4. GMRS CH 16 RPT467.575 MHzOffset -5.0 MHzPL 141.3 Hz

Training

CERT Basic Training

November 20, 21, and 22, 2026

FEMA 20-hour volunteer training at Menifee City Hall.

Friday: 5:30 PM–9:30 PM; Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Joining the team

CERT Membership

CERT Basic Training is open to participants age 16 and older. Full City of Menifee CERT membership begins at age 18 and requires completion of CERT Basic Training plus ICS-100, ICS-200, and ICS-700.

Membership requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver’s license or valid identification
  • Complete CERT Basic Training and the required ICS-100, ICS-200, and ICS-700 modules
  • Complete and sign all necessary forms, releases, and agreements
  • Submit initial and subsequent background investigations
  • Register as a Disaster Service Worker (DSW)

After completing required training

  1. Complete Live Scan and provide a photo.
  2. Complete the Disaster Service Worker forms. Keeping a copy in your vehicle is optional but highly recommended.
  3. Receive your CERT badge, which indicates to CAL FIRE and police that you have completed the requirements to be on site.
